To finally have put these tunes through their natural metamorphosis and, to have them performed and recorded in a live studio environment, was a real joy. The personnel were absolutely best choices for each tune. The production required two different rhythm sections, a flexible “mix and match” studio horn section, and added percussion. This broad variety of input, from these great players, has made this production one of my all-time favorites. I have to say, this stable of wonderfully seasoned pros and strong youthful performers, have really done this material justice. It has been an honor to have worked with one and all. All the songs have such a strong synergy that is so palpable, that you can really feel the groove. Now, for the first time, these songs have life. So….. Thanks and gratitude to this fine crew, from Wavelength Studios, Falcon Recording Studios, DTW Horns and, the rest of the friends and musicians at GSP Audio/Sunrise Publishing.
